Juxtaposition 2

Analogy

Analogy can be divided into two which are logical analogies and affective analogies. Logical analogy similarity in design, function or structure while Affective analogies emotional resemblance (use animal in conversation) for example 'you like an elephant' meaning that he is big.

Type of Analogy

1. Metaphore

-That man is a lion (very fierce)

2. Simile (use word 'like' or 'as')

-The girl is like a cat (cute girl)

Oxymoron

An expression with combining contradicting words example 'wise fool', 'legal murder', 'solid water'.

Week 7

Juxtaposition 1

This topic is very interesting and it is really related with my course(Media Innovation) in advertising part. Nowadays there are many ads that are using juxtaposition concept.

Juxtaposition is synonymous with contrast, two objects or texts that oppose one another. It is also an acts of placing two objects or words that have good contrast with each others in side by side.

Mind Mapping

Tony Buzan is the founder of mind mapping. He is an author and also an educational consultant. 'Use Your Head' is the Tony Buzan famous writing and he also show his mind mapping technique in this book.

Mind mapping is a very good technique that we can use it in any works to represent our ideas, task or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. By using this technique it will show us the overall picture of any key words we use to create this mind map.

Week 3

Defining Novelty, Creativity, Innovation and Invention

For this week I learnt all these term from the lecture presented by Mr. Mustafa B. Md Muzer.

Novelty : The word comes from Latin word novus meaning "new". Novelty is the quality of being new or unique.

Innovation : Means that we bring in new ideas or make changes. Innovation is a new way of doing something or "new stuff that is made useful".

Here I put a corporate discussion about what is innovation,but this discussion is more focusing on business matter. -->

Invention : It is start with inspiration and usually inspired by needs. The needs then combined with imagination to make it real things. For example, what is the need??do we need to fly?do we need to go to the moon? Then the imagination will make us able to fly (aeroplane), able to reach the moon and even able to see others planet in this universe.

Week 2

What is creative and creativity?

Everyone have their own perspective about the definition of creative and for me myself, creative is about creating a new idea. Sometime I describe creative as doing things differently but not doing different things.

While creativity is about a person ability to think and design new inventions..this is what I've learnt from this class in week two.

Here is a quote that I've found in the internet..

..what can I say from this quote is that someone need to be a flexible person in every aspect in order to achieve a creativity work and become a creative people.
